Zorn’s of Bethpage celebrates expansion to larger space

Zorn’s of Bethpage recently celebrated the grand opening of its larger location.

The restaurant is still located at 4321 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage, but the new 8,000-square-foot building will allow Zorn’s to accommodate more customers as the iconic business enters its eighth decade on Long Island.

“Everything Long Islanders have come to know and love about Zorn’s of Bethpage — our quality, freshness, home style recipes and friendly staff — are exactly the same,” said Merrill Zorn, the family’s fourth-generation owner and operator. “I hope that our customers will like the layout of the store and how we have tried to keep the same look and feel.”

The new store retains the brand’s white and blue colors, while historic photographs and memorabilia from the business decorate the restaurant’s walls throughout.

“I will always cherish the memories of growing up and working there with my grandfather, father, family and so many wonderful people, especially my grandfather, who started over 80 years ago,” Zorn added.
