Free business workshops coming to Centereach

The Miller Business Center is hosting two free business workshops for Long Island residents and entrepreneurs at the Middle Country Public Library in Centereach.

Business Bites — named for the “tasty bites” attendees enjoy before the session begins — is an opportunity for business owners to learn Microsoft Excel and WordPress in one hour, along with a half-hour for networking.

On Aug. 7, the business center will give lessons on making Excel spreadsheets and invoices, and on Sept. 18 it will offer an introduction to the WordPress publishing platform.

The networking portion starts at 8:30 a.m. and the hour-long class begins at 9 a.m. Both sessions are free and open to the public.

The Miller Business Center provides resource for Long Island businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits and individuals. Named for local philanthropist John D. Miller, the business center is supported by the public library and the Middle Country Library Foundation.
