Nets assist in scoring school supplies

The Long Island Nets are once again partnering with United Way of Long Island to help local students from low-income families head back to school with new backpacks and other essential school supplies.

This is the third straight year that the Nets are participating in the United Way’s annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign. The team is currently collecting school supplies at various locations throughout Nassau County, which will be distributed to students in advance of the new school year.

The Stuff-A-Bus Sort-A-Thon will take place Thursday, Sept. 5 at NYCB Live at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale.
