Belmont Park to host wine festival

Belmont Park will be hosting its first-ever wine tasting festival next month.

Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14 at Belmont’s North Shore Terrace Club House, the event, called Belmont Uncorked, celebrates wines from Long Island and around the world.

Representing local producers will be Pindar Vineyards, Pugliese Vineyards, and Duck Walk Vineyards. From the West Coast are Niner Wine Estates and Rock Wall Winery (California), R. Steward & Co. Winery (Oregon), and the flagship wineries from the Kendall-Jackson family. There will also be more than 30 international wines featured, from places such as Italy, France, Brazil, South Africa and Israel.

Sponsors include Wine U Design, a local winery, and its culinary education center, The Cook’s Studio, from Hicksville.
