Free concert at Patchogue Theatre

The sixth annual Farewell to Summer Concert will be held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts in October.

But you can leave your wallet at home, because the Oct. 9 show, featuring the Tradewinds Band, is free.

Since 2014, nearly 6,000 tickets have been distributed for the Farewell to Summer Senior Concert series. The concerts have been previously held in the Patchogue Theatre  in Patchogue; the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead; and the Pennysaver Amphitheater at Bald Hill, Farmingville.

All attendees must have a ticket for admission. Residents can get free tickets to the concert by visiting www.patchoguetheatre.org or by calling the Suffolk County Office for the Aging at 631-853-8200. Seating is limited and reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis.

The show starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
