Burlington coming to Commack

A new Burlington store is set to open in Commack this month.

The discount retailer’s seventh Long Island location is scheduled to open Sept. 20, in Veterans Memorial Plaza shopping center at 108 Veterans Memorial Highway.

Since 2011, Burlington has raised more than $53 million dollars for national causes including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and AdoptAClassroom.org, a nonprofit that helps teachers purchase supplies for their classrooms.

The company has also donated more than 2.2 million coats through its annual Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive since its inception in 2012.
