Panera Bread to aid Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Patrons of Panera Bread can help raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society this month.
Forty Panera Bread restaurants owned and operated by Doherty Enterprises, including 31 in Nassau and Suffolk, will donate 20 percent of qualifying delivery and pick-up orders to benefit the nonprofit, which strives to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, while improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
The donation campaign, honoring Blood Cancer Awareness Month, runs from Monday, Sept. 16 through Sunday, Sept. 29. Customers interested in donating 20 percent of the proceeds from their delivery or pick-up order can use the code “PRFUND” when ordering. Orders can be placed through the Panera Bread app or online at PaneraBread.com.
“It is an honor for us to be able to support such a deserving organization like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,” Greg George, vice-president of operations for Panera Bread franchisee Doherty Enterprises, said in a company statement. “So many people are fighting against blood cancers and we are proud to help those affected in any way we can. We look forward to raising funds this September and encourage all of our guests to participate.”
