Haunted hangar hosting Halloween party
Fright takes flight at Republic Airport later this month as the American Airpower Museum hosts its annual Haunted Hangar Halloween Party.
Kids can go trick-or-treating and mingle with ghosts, goblins, ghouls and other scary folks as museum staff hand out treats in a safe environment.
The event, which takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, features a scavenger hunt for kids with treats, a tour of a haunted bomber, crafts, games with prizes, face painting and more. Children age 12 and younger can compete in the museum’s costume contest. Prizes will be awarded for the best original and creative costumes, courtesy of Cockpit USA.
The party is free for museum members. For the public, a regular museum admission fee is requested: $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for kids 5 to 12. There is free admission for kids under 5 and active military.
The American Airpower Museum is located at Hangar 3 at 1230 New Highway in Farmingdale.
