Riptide to host free practice

Lacrosse fans are invited to attend next month’s special open practice of the New York Riptide, Long Island’s newest professional sports team.

The practice on Saturday, Nov. 2 runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, where the Riptide will be playing its National Lacrosse League regular season home games starting in December.

Following the practice, the Riptide coaching staff will participate in a question-and-answer panel discussion with fans.

Admission and parking are both free.

The Riptide open their 2019-20 season on the road on Saturday, Dec. 7 against the Halifax Thunderbirds. The team’s first regular season home game at the Coliseum is on Saturday, Dec. 28 at 7:30 p.m. against the Saskatchewan Rush.
