Parade of tanks to commemorate historic battle

A parade of World War II tanks will be part of an event that honors Battle of the Bulge combatants next month.

The Museum of American Armor at Old Bethpage Village Restoration is hosting the day-long exhibit on Sunday, Dec. 15, that will include veterans who survived the historic battle and will recount their experiences of the brutal German offensive that took the lives of some 19,000 American soldiers.

The parade of opposing tanks takes place at 12 noon during the exhibit that runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum located at 1303 Round Swamp Road.
