Shop Small Scavenger Hunt to support local merchants
Looking for bargains or some unique holiday gifts? Then this upcoming event might be just the ticket.
Nassau County officials and local business leaders are holding a scavenger hunt to promote area merchants and encourage residents to patronize their neighborhood retailers.
The inaugural countywide Shop Small Scavenger Hunt is designed to familiarize Long Island consumers with the many local shopping opportunities available to them.
The scavenger hunt, scheduled for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 30, is also aimed at boosting the annual small business campaign that urges holiday shoppers to patronize local stores.
The announcement of the Shop Small Scavenger Hunt is slated to take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 at TrainLand, located at 293 Sunrise Highway in Lynbrook, where officials from the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce and the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency will provide details about the event.
