Annual toy drive brings in thousands of donations

When it comes to toy drives, Brookhaven residents don’t play around.

The Town of Brookhaven’s annual holiday toy drive was a huge success this year with Long Islanders donating thousands of toys during the event at town hall. Co-sponsored by the town’s youth bureau and Ronkonkoma-based JVC Broadcasting, the toy drive provides gifts for children in need during the holidays.

The annual toy drive is part of Brookhaven’s INTERFACE program, which is one of the town’s community outreach efforts to address social issues and encourage volunteering in collaboration with the local nonprofit and business community.
