Snowball Gala to raise funds for Huntington nonprofits

The annual Snowball Gala fundraiser will honor local do-gooders and raise money for nonprofits in the Town of Huntington.

Organized by the Townwide Fund of Huntington, this year’s event will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Harbor Club at 95 New York Ave.

The Snowball Gala, the Townwide Fund’s main fundraising event of the year, will give special recognition to several individuals who have made significant contributions to the Huntington community.

The 2020 Snowball Gala honorees include Stewart Almer of the Gurwin Family of Healthcare Services, Mark and John Cronin from John’s Crazy Socks, Alec Ornstein of Ornstein Development, Michael Tucker of Daniel Gale Commercial Real Estate and Long Island Food Council, and Dr. James Romanelli of Romanelli Cosmetic Surgery.

Founded in 1961, the Townwide Fund of Huntington has raised more than $12 million and currently partners with more than 30 local charitable groups to help them support town residents in need.
