Northport students raise $71K for St. Baldrick’s

Students and faculty from the Northport-East Northport school district raised more than $71,000 for childhood cancer research and treatment during a St. Baldrick’s fundraising effort this month.

Hundreds of supporters took turns getting their heads shaved on stage at Northport High School as donations came in on Friday, March 6.

The students said they aim to raise more than $100,000 next year.
