Applications open for affordable rentals in Greenport

Community Development Corporation of Long Island announced this week that applications are now available to enter the lottery for its new affordable housing development on North Road in Greenport.

Located at 62600 North Road in Greenport, the 50-unit Vineyard View Apartments contains a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom rentals. Construction is expected to be completed this summer.

A joint-venture between CDCLI and Conifer Realty, the development is the first affordable housing development in the Town of Southold in more than 30 years, according to the developer.

Rents for the one-bedroom units are expected to range between $1,056 and $1,289 per month, while two-bedroom units will be $1,266 to $1,544 per month. Three-bedroom units are listed for $1,461 to $1,784 per month, according to the developer’s website.

Applications will be open until July 9 and a virtual lottery will be held on Monday, July 27 at 11 a.m. More information and income guidelines can be found on the Vineyard View Apartments website.
