Pop-up drive-in set to screen new Disney film for charity
A pop-up drive-in movie theater is coming to Bridgehampton this weekend to benefit the East End nonprofit AFTEE and several local food pantries.
New York-based startup Blade, a virtual airline company similar to Uber in the sky, organized the charity event and will be screening the new Disney film Artemis Fowl at the Hampton Classic Show Grounds on Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13.
All of the proceeds from the drive-in movie will benefit AFTEE’s Feed the Need Campaign, which helps address food instability due to the global health crisis, as well as the Bridgehampton Food Pantry, The Children’s Museum of the East End’s food pantry, East Hampton Food Pantry, The Montauk Food Pantry, Springs Food Pantry and Heart of the Hamptons.
The event organizers described the demand for tickets as “overwhelming” with general admission tickets sold out, but some higher-priced donation packages were still available at the time of publishing. For more information and to purchase tickets visit the event’s page on Eventbrite.
