Town launches drive-in concerts at the beach
While pop-up drive-in movies have been a big hit recently, the Town of Oyster Bay is launching a drive-in concert series next month.
The free concerts at TOBAY Beach are for town residents only and will run through July to the first week in August.
The shows feature a wide variety of Long Island’s most popular tribute bands, including the New York Bee Gees, Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot, Dr. K’s Motown Revue, Freebird and many more.
The series kicks off at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1 with Eagles tribute band Fast Lane.
Vehicles will be admitted to the TOBAY Beach parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 7 p.m. the day of the event. Concertgoers must remain in their cars. Attendees are asked to consider donating a nonperishable food item upon arrival at the venue to benefit Island Harvest Food Bank.
Performances are subject to change and will be held weather permitting. For additional information call 516-797-7925 or visit the town’s website at: www.oysterbaytown.com.
