Stepping up: Long Island Hope Walk goes virtual
The annual Long Island Virtual Team Hope Walk that benefits the Huntington’s Disease Society of America will go virtual next month.
While thousands of friends, co-workers and neighbors walk together each year to support HDSA’s fight to improve the lives of people and families affected by Huntington’s Disease and their families, this year walkers will choose their own course, whether it’s in their driveway, their neighborhood or even inside their homes on a treadmill.
The fundraising event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 13. Participants who raise at least $100 will be mailed a Team Hope t-shirt after the event.
