Suffolk Federal supports Ecological Culture Initiative

The Riverhead branch of Suffolk Federal Credit Union has given $1,000 to support The Ecological Culture Initiative.

Founded in 2016, the Hampton Bays-based nonprofit Ecological Culture Initiative develops environmental programming and field projects in collaboration with community groups, culture institutions and government. Funds are raised to advocate, educate, counsel, secure and help build an ecologically-responsible neighborhood.

Jeff Shultz, director of Public Relations of The Ecological Culture Initiative, thanked Suffolk Federal for its support. 

“This donation will go towards a future greenhouse, rain barrels, informational garden signs and garden tools,” Shultz said.
