Shop Your Heart Out offers deals to support nonprofits

Shoppers who contribute at least $10 to local nonprofits, can get special deals at two Long Island shopping centers.

Westfield, which owns the South Shore Mall in Bay Shore and the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, is offering a 10-day program through Nov. 1 called Shop Your Heart Out, which gives in-store discounts and gifts in exchange for the minimum $10 donation.

Among the benefiting nonprofits are Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, Long Island Cares, Save the Great South Bay and Island Harvest.

Tickets for the program are only available on the Westfield website at shopyourheartout.westfield.com.
