Brentwood park to get new playground

Vazquez Park in Brentwood is getting some much-needed improvements thanks to a state grant.

The park on MacArthur Avenue is slated to get a new playground structure and swings on a rubberized surface, all funded by a $125,000 grant from the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.

The new playground is expected to be ready next spring.
