Boat handling course launches next month

America’s Boating Club of the Great South Bay Power Squadron is offering a seven-week boat handling course that begins in January.

The course, which starts on Jan. 28, covers topics such as ‘Rules of the Road,’ ‘Docking and Undocking,’ ‘Boating with Confidence,’ ‘Knots and Line Handling,’ and sessions on anchoring and on-board emergencies.

The registration and supply fee with an eBook kit is $83, or $63 for squadron members. The deadline to pre-register is Dec. 18.
