Long Island Nets to hold virtual basketball clinic
The Long Island Nets are partnering with the Town of Hempstead to provide youngsters with a free virtual basketball clinic.
The Zoom clinic takes place on Saturday, Jan. 30 from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., when young athletes can learn and practice basketball fundamentals from their homes.
The virtual session will be led by Long Island Nets Head Clinician Kelly Dempsey and HSS Sports Safety-trained clinicians. The free program is open to boys and girls ages 6-13 who are interested in learning tips and tricks to improve their skills at home without a hoop.
Those interested in participating must register by 3 p.m. on Jan. 29 and complete the required waiver on the Long Island Nets Basketball Academy website.
