$10M grants available for entertainment venues
The U.S. Small Business Administration is accepting online grant applications from concert halls, live performance spaces, museums and movie theaters that were closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grants, of up to $10 million each, are part of the SBA’s Shuttered Venue Operators Grant program that was established through the federal stimulus package.
The grant program is aimed at helping venues with 500 or fewer employees that aren’t owned by a public company or have locations in 11 or more states. While more than $16 billion in grants is available, the program has set aside $2 billion for venues with 50 or fewer employees.
