Job fair coming to Freeport

A job fair organized by the Town of Hempstead will take place in Freeport later this month.

The job fair, organized by the town’s Department of Occupational Resources and the Freeport Public Library, will be held on Tuesday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Freeport Recreation Center at 130 E. Merrick Road.

About 70 employers, representing local hotels, insurance companies, retail outlets and law enforcement agencies, will be present at the job fair, according to a town statement.
