Long Island Nets players donate Thanksgiving meals

Two players from the Long Island Nets took part in a Thanksgiving meal donation earlier this week.

Long Island Nets player Justin Jackson and Brooklyn Nets two-way player David Duke Jr., along with Long Island Nets staff, shopped for and donated $1,000 worth of Thanksgiving meals to families at the MLK Center of Long Beach.

The event was part of the annual Season of Giving initiative by the Long Island Nets in which the team has donated $5,000 worth of supplies and meals to local Long Island schools and neighborhoods this season, including Central Islip, Elmont and Long Beach.
