Holiday light show at Old Westbury Gardens

The holiday light show called Shimmering Solstice at Old Westbury Gardens is a fascinating walkthrough event of seasonal sights and sounds.

Magical light displays are set along Old Westbury Gardens’ paths that lead visitors through the venue’s Walled Garden, Rose Garden, South Lawn and Allée.

The event was designed by Lightswitch, a collective of internationally-recognized lighting, media, and visual designers and is sponsored by Catholic Health. Guests can enjoy festive food and drinks, presented by Long Island’s Lessing Hospitality Group.

Shimmering Solstice runs through Sunday, Jan. 9. Admission time starts at 5:30 p.m. and the last admission is at 9:30 p.m. Gates close at 11 p.m.

Old Westbury Gardens is located at 71 Old Westbury Road in Old Westbury.
