Business women hosting fundraiser for Girls On The Run

A group of female business owners and entrepreneurs will be hosting a networking event to benefit Girls On The Run Long Island.

The event called “How to Protect You and Your Business During Challenging Times” will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 at The Ivy in Huntington.

Three speakers, a matrimonial lawyer, financial advisor and a trust and estate attorney, will discuss the legal and financial aspects of owning a business, offering guidance and information for women as they navigate how to successfully run a business and learn how to protect it.

The event is being hosted by Erica Tiso of Social House LI and Jessica Bianculli of Skin Bar New York. Sixteen local businesses have donated gift cards and services to be raffled off at the event.

Tickets are $60 each and include appetizers, a free resource guide and swag bag.

The benefitting nonprofit, Girls On The Run LI, aims to inspire young girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
