Ruth’s Chris opening its third Long Island restaurant

Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the restaurant known for serving steaks on 500-degree sizzling plates, opens in Melville next week.

The chain’s new 10,684-square-foot Melville location at 881 Walt Whitman Road opens for business on Monday, August 15. It will be the third Ruth’s Chris restaurant on Long Island, joining the long-time location in Garden City and another at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, which opened in December.

The new Melville steak house features a main dining room, a bar with ample seating and a variety of high tops as well as three private dining rooms that can accommodate personal and family celebrations, business meetings and more.

“We look forward to welcoming new guests, as well as those who are already familiar with and passionate about our brand,” Cheryl Henry, president and CEO of Ruth’s Hospitality Group, the chain’s parent company, said in a written statement.
