Real estate firm launches Thanksgiving drive
Jericho-based Toro Real Estate Partners is launching its annual Thanksgiving Drive.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the company has organized the effort, which aims to provide Thanksgiving dinners for more than 200 families.
Toro principal John Cohen is continuing the tradition that his grandfather started years ago.
“He used to take pride in giving back and in his memory we would like to provide Thanksgiving dinners to as many families as we can,” Cohen said via email. “For every dollar donated, I will personally match it. Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and we appreciate any help you can give.”
Over the last four years the Thanksgiving drive has raised over $12,575, which was doubled to more than $25,000 with Cohen’s matching donation, enough to provide Thanksgiving dinners to over 500 families.
