Cassata Foundation donates toys to kids at Shop with a Cop

The Cassata Foundation teamed up with the Suffolk County Police Department and Target for its annual “Shop with a Cop” event that gives toys to kids in need.

Rosario Cassata and the Cassata Foundation donated more than $5,000 to provide 45 local children toys and gifts for the holiday.

Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison were on hand for the event.

“This was such a great opportunity to have the children bond with their local police officers while putting smiles on their faces,” Cassata said.

The Cassata Foundation is a nonprofit organization that donates and provides gifts, grants and scholarships to groups, students and individuals.
