NutraScience Labs donates food to Island Harvest

NutraScience Labs, a Farmingdale-based provider of dietary supplement manufacturing services, recently donated more than 650 pounds of non-perishable items to Island Harvest Food Bank.

This is the ninth consecutive year that the employees at NutraScience have joined together to collect essential items, including bottled water, canned food, and baby products, donating more than 15,000 pounds of goods to Island Harvest throughout the years. This year’s donation will also supplement hundreds of meals for Long Islanders utilizing 570 food pantries and soup kitchens.

“Food insecurity continues to be a serious issue for many families throughout the Long Island community,” Vincent Tricarico, executive vice president at NutraScience Labs, said in a company statement. “Our entire team at NutraScience Labs is honored to partner with Island Harvest Food Bank each year and support its mission to provide vital hunger relief and other daily essentials to local residents.”

NutraScience Labs provides dietary supplement brands with manufacturing services and offers in-house packaging, label design, and fulfillment services. The company is headquartered at 70 Carolyn Blvd. in Farmingdale and operates a distribution facility at 901 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge.
