Health & Welfare Council to host nonprofit job fair

The Health & Welfare Council of Long Island will hold a job fair for nonprofit organizations next month.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Yes We Can Community Center at 141 Garden St. in Westbury.

Since the nonprofit and human service sectors have been hard hit by hiring challenges, the council decided to try to put nonprofit groups together with job seekers with this first-ever Nonprofit Job Fair.

The HWCLI event provides a unique opportunity for nonprofits to meet with motivated employment candidates who are interested in making a difference in the community.

Registration for the job fair is $25 for nonprofit employers and free for job seekers.
