High school jazz bands battle to benefit Walk Like MADD

A show featuring Long Island high school musicians will be instrumental in this year’s Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) fundraising walk.

The Battle of the High School Jazz Bands at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury kicks off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1. The show will feature high school jazz bands from Harborfields, Ward Melville, Uniondale, East Meadow and Hicksville.

Proceeds from registration and ticket sales will be credited to the teams participating in the Long Island Walk Like MADD fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, June 10 at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.

Walk Like MADD is the nonprofit’s signature fundraising event to help raise both awareness and funds to end drunk driving and fight drugged driving.
