Suffolk Credit Union supports local nonprofits

Six local nonprofit organizations received $1,000 donations from Suffolk Credit Union.

The donations are part of Suffolk Credit Union’s continued effort to support the charitable work of local community groups that serve the areas of the credit union’s branch locations.

The financial donations were presented to The Butterfly Effect Project in Riverhead; the Central Islip Fire Department in Islandia; the Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson; HIS Coalition for the Homeless in Sayville; Maryhaven Center of Hope in Medford; and the Miller Place Fire Department.

“Suffolk Credit Union is proud to support a variety of wonderful causes on Long Island,” Michele Dean, president and CEO of Suffolk Credit Union, said in a written statement. “Our donations reflect our ongoing commitment to assisting residents of Long Island while also spotlighting the valuable missions of these community organizations.”
