Parade for Massapequa Little League World Series champs

A parade to celebrate Massapequa’s Little League World Series softball champions will be held on Monday, August 28.

Hundreds of spectators are expected to line the parade route to cheer the 12-year-old Massapequa International Little League Softball Team, which won the coveted title last week.

The Massapequa International squad became the first team from New York State to ever win the Little League Softball World Championships, which are held every year in Greenville, North Carolina.

The parade kicks off at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28 at Brady Park, continues along Park Boulevard and ends with a ceremony at Massapequa Park Village Hall.
