TeachRock training series kicks off at LIMEHOF
The Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF) in Stony Brook is hosting its first-ever series of TeachRock workshops for teachers.
The first workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the LIMEHOF building at 97 Main St.
Launched in 2002 by acclaimed musician, songwriter, actor and radio host Stevie Van Zandt, TeachRock offers meaningful lesson plans all at no cost to teachers, students, and families, inspiring deeper learning and understanding through the power of music. Nearly 60,000 educators, across all 50 states, are registered at TeachRock.
Stephanie Arnell, a teacher in Freeport, who already uses TeachRock with her students, will lead the training and share her tips and the free TeachRock lesson plans she uses with local educators.
All attendees at the LIMEHOF series are granted free access to the museum following the event and are eligible for NY CTLE credits through TeachRock. This event is for teachers only and requires registration at: teachrock.org/LIMEHOF/
