Party City opens new store in Merrick

Party City has opened a new store in Merrick.

The store, which is designed in the chain’s Next Generation format, is located in the Merrick Commons Shopping Center at 1692 Merrick Road.

Party City’s Next Gen format features a dedicated counter for balloons with its own checkout; lower shelf heights, shorter aisles, and smart navigation; and an expanded candy section with big bag candy, solid color candy for all occasions, holidays, events, and loose candy to curate your own personalized sweet assortment.  

Party City also offers online shopping, curbside pick-up, and same-day or scheduled delivery that includes balloon delivery.

“We’re thrilled to bring our Next Generation experiential retail concept to Long Island shoppers,” Bill Lanza, vice president of stores at Party City, said in a company statement. “Our goal is to bring the joy of celebration to Party City customers and help them make their seasonal celebrations as effortless and memorable as possible. Our Next Generation stores were developed to provide an unmatched experience, designed to make creating those memories as seamless and enjoyable as possible – for all the ways that you celebrate, no matter how big or small.” 

The Merrick Party City store will host a grand opening event on Friday, Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. that will include photo opportunities with Santa, grand opening promotions and giveaways and festive drinks and treats.
