Drama With Your Mama at The Learning Experience benefits Make A Wish
Drama With Your Mama, the parent-and-child interactive program, is coming to The Learning Experience in Kings Park for a special class to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation.
The special parent-and-me theater class will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 at The Learning Experience at 284 Indian Head Road.
This is the first collaboration between The Learning Experience and the popular Drama With Your Mama classes, which have been presented at local libraries and other pop-up locations throughout Long Island. The classes are for children ages 2 through 5 and aimed at introducing kids to the art of theater.
The Drama With Your Mama program uses a variety of interactive activities that feature live music, storytelling, movement and imaginative play to create a safe, fun and warm atmosphere for both parents and their future stars.
Drama With Your Mama is the brainchild of Aly Leonard and Nicki Winzelberg, both moms of young daughters and talented professionals who have performed in numerous regional and local theater and musical productions. In addition to performing, both Aly and Nicki are seasoned and accredited acting and music teachers who have both directed numerous children’s theater productions.
The special class at The Learning Experience in Kings Park costs $25 and 40 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Make A Wish. Spots are limited and those wanting to participate should call 631-663-3694 to RSVP by Jan. 19.
