Bonita Mexican Steakhouse opens in Rocky Point

A new restaurant, Bonita Mexican Steakhouse, has opened in Rocky Point.

Local officials joined the owners, Steve and Mariella Salazar, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to officially open the new eatery.

The new restaurant is located in the Crossroads Plaza West shopping center at 47 Route 25A. Bonita offers a diverse culinary experience, drawing inspiration from Argentina, Brazil and Cuba.

“I am happy to welcome Bonita Mexican Steakhouse to Rocky Point and encourage everyone to stop in, say hello and sample what they have to offer,” Brookhaven Councilwoman Jane Bonner, who helped cut the ribbon at the new business, said in a written statement. “It’s a great addition to the community and I wish them the best of luck.”
