LEGO fan convention coming to Long Island
Excitement is building for Long Island’s first ever LEGO fan convention.
The Long Island Brick Convention will be held this fall at the Suffolk Credit Union Arena on the campus of Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood.
At the event, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 20, professional LEGO Artists will be coming in from around the United States to display their elaborate LEGO creations and to meet with fans. There will also be meet-and-greets with LEGO celebrities, according to a statement from the event organizers.
The convention will be supporting Creations for Charity with a portion of the proceeds going to the all-volunteer nonprofit that buys new LEGO sets for underprivileged children around the world during the holidays.
LEGO fans will be able to get creative in the Construction Zone, with thousands of bricks available and galleries will be set up with life-sized LEGO models on display.
