Pride on the Mile returns to Freeport with new Pride Carnival

The Sparkle on Stage Cultural Arts Center, a nonprofit community performance space in Freeport, has announced the second annual ‘Pride on the Mile’ event on the Nautical Mile, Woodcleft Avenue in Freeport will take place on Saturday June 15 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This year, in addition to a “Dragaret” stage show and a Pride market taking place on the esplanade, the venue is introducing the kids Pride Carnival, featuring Drama With Your Mama, a parent-and-me theater class, along with a magic show and Drag Story Hour.

“Pride on the Mile and Sparkle on Stage are so excited to sponsor a day that is inclusive, empowering, and most of all, fun,” said Robyn Workman, president of Sparkle on Stage Cultural Arts Center.
