Chocogelateria opens in Roosevelt Field

A luxury chocolate and gelato maker opened its first Long Island location in the Roosevelt Field Mall.

Venchi, a 145-year-old Italian gourmet chocolate manufacturer, unveiled its 880-square-foot chocogelateria — a boutique chocolate and gelato shop — earlier this month at the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City.

Located across from the Apple store on the mall’s main level, the boutique features more than 50 varieties of Venchi chocolates crafted in Italy. Customers can create their own assortments or choose from a selection of boxed chocolates.

Venchi’s gelato, made fresh daily with traditional Italian recipes, comes in 24 flavors and can be served in a cup, cone (rimmed with the chocolatier’s hazelnut-chocolate spread) or blended into shakes.

Venchi also has a selection of Italian coffees, hot chocolate and crepes made with the brand’s Piedmont hazelnut and chocolate spread.
