Panera Bread, Chipotle coming to Islandia

Panera Bread and Chipotle drive-thrus are coming to Islandia.

The companies each signed long-term leases with Breslin Realty and will be part of a new retail center at 1900 Veterans Memorial Highway.

The new Panera Bread restaurant will occupy about 3,500 square feet in the soon-to-be-built retail development next to Walgreens, while Chipotle will occupy about 2,450 square feet. Both restaurants will have a drive-thru.

Panera Bread, the popular bakery-café chain with more 2,000 locations across the United States and Canada, recently expanded its menu to include new soups, salads, sandwiches, and signature mac-and-cheese bowls. Chipotle has more than 3,400 restaurants worldwide and recently started opening up more drive-thru locations on Long Island.
