Northwell at Jones Beach Theater reopens after massive reboot
The Northwell at Jones Beach Theater has opened for this year’s summer concert season following an extensive renovation to the venue.
The multi-million-dollar project from New York State Parks and Live Nation is the largest investment in the theater ever. Fans are now greeted by a grand new entrance for quicker entry and immediate access to a new food–and-beverage plaza the size of a football field to hang out before the show.
All concourses and plazas have also been upgraded, offering fans even more amenities and expanded food and beverage options.
Fans who enter the Citi VIP Club now experience expansive views of Zach’s Bay with additional seating opportunities, unique food and beverage offerings within the club and the ability to order ahead of the show.
Members of the new 40 North Bay Club presented by Cadillac can relax before, during and after the show with special food and drink options, secluded bars, private restrooms, and a concierge. The multi-level club honors music legends who have played at Jones Beach Theater and always features a DJ spinning vinyl on the patio.
This summer the lineup at the revamped venue includes Pitbull, Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, Alanis Morissette, Jason Aldean, Imagine Dragons, Santana, Counting Crows, New Kids on the Block, Hootie & the Blowfish, and more.
Jones Beach Theater originally opened back in 1952 as an 8,200-seat theater. Before that, there was Zach’s Bay Stadium that featured water circuses, boat races, and musicals. Blue Oyster Cult was the first-ever rock concert here in 1978 and the Beach Boys currently hold the title for playing here the most and are slated to play again this summer.
