John’s Crazy Socks announces special ‘John Day’ giveaways, discounts

John’s Crazy Socks is showing appreciation for its customers through its John Day promotion, which lasts two days, Sunday, August 11 and Monday, August 12.

Customers who place orders on those days will receive giveaways that may include one of a variety of prizes, such as a personalized video or phone call from John, social media shoutouts, free socks, or charity donations in their name.

“My dad says I am like a hobbit because I give things away on my birthday,” says John Lee Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. “I love our customers and I want to thank them.”

The Farmingdale-based sock company began with John, a young man with Down syndrome, and his love of colorful and fun socks — what he calls his “crazy socks.” His passion led him and his father, Mark X. Cronin, to found John’s Crazy Socks. Offering more than 4,000 socks, the company is now the world’s largest sock store.

More than half John’s Crazy Socks’ employees have a differing ability, and their Giving Back program has raised over $750,000 for charity partners like the Special Olympics, the National Down Syndrome Society, and the Autism Society of America.
