Putting for a purpose: RiseWell hosts 4th annual golf fundraiser

Joined by supporters, sponsors and friends, RiseWell Community Services, a New York City and Long Island-based nonprofit social and economic services provider (formerly known as Federation of Organizations), held its fourth annual Nine & Dine Golf Outing last month at Stonebridge Golf & Country Club in Smithtown.

The event, which featured nine holes of golf followed by a barbecue dinner, raffles, prizes and more, raised funds to support RiseWell’s mission of providing vital health and wellness services to vulnerable members of the Long Island and New York City communities.

Hossam Maksoud, CEO of Community Care Rx, a long-term care pharmacy and RiseWell community partner, received an honor at the event and shared his remarks.

“It was a fantastic day at the RiseWell Nine & Dine Golf Outing!” said Dr. Maksoud. “We at Community Care Rx are proud to partner with the team at RiseWell, who work day in and day out to make a difference within the community. Their tireless efforts truly shine through, and their commitment and passion are inspiring.”

Organizers of the outing expressed gratitude for the turnout of attendees and the help from local businesses. “We are grateful to our esteemed honoree, Dr. Maksoud, our generous sponsors, and our many loyal supporters for helping to make this year’s Nine & Dine a success,” said Philip Matcovsky, president and CEO of RiseWell. “Our golf outing continues to grow each year and provides us with a valuable opportunity to spend time with those who share our dedication to empowering individuals and families, and building a stronger, healthier community.”
