United Way hosts first-ever Young Professionals Network event in Patchogue
United Way of Long Island’s inaugural Young Professionals Network (YPN) event was a resounding success, raising over $20,000 to support United Way of Long Island’s Stuff-A-Bus program and educational initiatives aimed at providing essential school supplies to elementary-age children.
“We are thrilled with the outcome of our first Young Professionals Network event,” said Theresa Regnante, president and CEO of United Way of Long Island. “The enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by these young leaders is inspiring, and it is clear that they are dedicated to making a positive impact in our community. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting the educational success of children, and we are excited about the future of this dynamic network.”
The event, held Thursday, August 1 at Blue Point Brewery in Patchogue and sponsored by Bulovas Restoration, was attended by nearly 200 young professionals from diverse industries across Long Island and included food, drinks, raffles, and a cornhole tournament.
“The energy and turnout at our first event were incredible,” said Brendan Bateman, co-chair of YPN. “We are proud to see so many young professionals eager to connect and give back to our community. This is just the beginning of what we can achieve together, and we are looking forward to growing this network and continuing to support United Way’s mission.”
Additional support for the YPN event was provided by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, The Mosquito Guido, Gas Tec Plumbing and Heating, SK Pool Care, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., Flushing Bank, Clear View Building Services, Borg Insurance Agency & Associates and G-Rock Handcovers Inc.
