Visual Citi donates to Pronto Long Island as food pantry sees shortages

Visual Citi, a Lindenhurst-based signage, printing and fabrication firm, recently donated $500 to Pronto Long Island’s food pantry to help restock its shelves.

Pronto Long Island is a community outreach center in Bay Shore that includes a food pantry, thrift center, classes and programs for adults and children.

Vivian Hart, president and CEO of Pronto Long Island said that the food pantry sees shortages during the summertime and is in very high demand. “During the summer months when the children are at home and they are not getting one or sometimes even two meals a day at school, the food pantry is utilized even more than ever, and this donation could not have come at a better time,” Hart said.

Fatima Jivraj, the HR generalist for Visual Citi, presented the check to Hart and members of the Pronto Long Island board and thanked them for all they do to help the underserved on Long Island.

“It is such a wonderful feeling to know that Visual Citi could help with this donation, to promote the good work that Pronto Long Island does for the community,” Jivraj said.

Founded in 2004, Visual Citi has 100,000 square feet of production space and over 100 employees. The company, which serves customers on Long Island and throughout the New York area, has multiple manufacturing resources to complete any project, regardless of scope and size.
