Power of Food event to benefit East End Food nonprofit
East End Food, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the local food system and agricultural viability on Long Island, is holding a special fundraiser in Montauk.
The event, “The Power of Food: An Evening Benefiting East End Food,” takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 at the newly designed Ocean Club Restaurant at Montauk Yacht Club.
Guests at the event will enjoy a selection of local food and drinks crafted by renowned Chef Jarad McCarroll.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly contribute to the completion of the East End Food Hub in Riverhead, equipping its shared commercial kitchen, and launching its year-round indoor farmers market. The funds raised will also help develop educational spaces, expand East End Food’s local food storefront, and support community outreach and educational programs.
“The benefit is a pivotal moment for us. It’s more than just a fundraising event; it’s a celebration of our community’s commitment to a sustainable, resilient local food system,” said East End Food Executive Director Marci Moreau. “With your support, we can achieve our goals and continue to provide essential services that benefit both our farmers and the broader community.”
The Ocean Club Restaurant at Montauk Yacht Club is at 32 Star Island Road in Montauk.
